The A-Team was a staple part of my childhood, a regular fixture in our house. My brother and I loved it because of the fights, the machines, and the fact they always got away with it (the Dukes of Hazzard was appealing for many of the same reasons). My parents liked it because even after a horrific car crash, the bad guys always crawled out with little more than a scratch. Carnage without bloodshed!
However, things aren’t always that family-friendly in software development. In fact, get the wrong mix of skills and personalities in a software team and your office (and products) could end up looking more like a scene from Apocalypse Now.
