Yes, I know I said I’d write something about Web 2.0, but I can’t let today go without saying something about the general election. Which is an important opportunity in the UK to vote for a new (or to keep the current) government. I’m intending to vote – for the first time ever, which is shameful at my age, and so I’ve been reading up on manifestos and attitudes of the major parties. This BBS article is very helpful, laying out the 5 major parties views in an easy-to-compare way.
In the interests of not painting a big target on my back I’m not going to tell you who I’m voting for, however I will allow you see my political leanings, made available by one of the many election websites that have sprung up recently. In fact some people have said we’ve got more information about candidates and parties than anyone, anywhere, ever. Which can only be a good thing.
